Alleged Plane Hack Should Not Deter You From Flying

There’s something about planes that freaks many people out. Planes are targets for hijacking and terrorist attacks. Planes seem to play a central role in many action movies. When a plane goes down—like Malaysia Airlines flight 370—it can drive the news cycle for weeks or even months. And, when a security researcher claims to have hacked the flight controls of a commercial aircraft from his seat through the onboard entertainment system it makes people think twice about flying. The reality is that flying is still the safest way to get from Point A to Point B.
