It’s a geographic and historical quirk of the global movie business that the biggest and most expensive films are almost always made in the English language. Largely because the motion picture industry was established and developed in Anglocentric America, and also partly because there are so many English speakers in affluent countries, English is the predominant language of big-budget movies that are made for the international market.
